17.2.1) Relationships with NGOs and govt for SDG policy
Have direct involvement in, or input into, national government SDG policy development - including identifying problems and challenges, developing policies and strategies, modelling likely futures with and without interventions, monitoring and reporting on interventions, and enabling adaptive management

In 2019, the university undertook a total of 338 projects related to the themes related to sustainable development goals from government units, the work related to the formulation of the plan policy includes: the Department of Physics (the professor serves as the reviewer of the Department of Sustainable Development of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Executive Yuan), the Department of Architecture (cooperating with the Ministry of the Interior, Taipei City, New Taipei City, Yilan City, etc., to assist in its formulation on planning community development policies and activities), the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering (implementation of environmental protection and energy-related plans of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Environmental Protection Agency, and Ministry of Science and Technology), the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering (the research team cooperates with National Taiwan University to assist the government in making reservoir decisions and assist the New Taipei City Government Environmental Protection Agency reviews waste disposal agencies and industrial waste input and output applications), the Department of Innovative Information and Technology (professors assist the Yilan County Government in formulating environmental education action plans and strategic plans, and assist in planning the Suao Marine Innovation Project), the Department of Global Politics and Economics (implementing the Ministry of Science and Technology Election and Democratization Investigation and Research), the College of Global Development (implementing the Ministry of Education’s environmental education policy promotion project plan, entrusted by the Youth Development Agency of the Ministry of Education to handle the SDGs task activities of the forest community sustainable tourism service team. Executing the mission plan of the Executive Yuan’s Environmental Protection Agency's project "Danlan Pioneer", the subsidies from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the mission of ecotourism service for the Indonesian indigenous tribes was accepted).
