17.2.4) Collaboration for SDG best practice
Through international collaboration and research, review comparative approaches and develop international best practice on tackling the SDGs
Examples of work to promote the development of solutions to SDGs through international cooperation are as follow:
1. Tamkang University, Ritsumeikan University in Japan, and Kyung Hee University in South Korea jointly organized the 2019 Asian Community Leadership Seminar. The themes include "Transnational Cultural Communication," "World Peace Studies," and "Future Studies." Practical ideas are utilized to formulate specific solutions.
2. The synchrotron radiation research team of the university cooperated with world-class scholars to conduct related research and published 35 journal papers in 2019, making outstanding contributions in related technical fields.
3. Professors of the Chemistry Department of the university have published a total of 24 journal articles in scientific fields closely related to SDGs, such as electrical conductivity, carbon cycle, and luminescent materials. Professors from the Graduate Institute of China Studies and the Northeast Asia Peace Organization discussed issues such as peace and restriction of nuclear weapons at the Peace Boat workshop.
