The university cooperates with the government, domestic and foreign non-governmental organizations, and partnered universities and institutions to promote sustainable development goals through different methods such as policy formulation, dialogue activities, data collection, research cooperation, student services, and educational development resources. According to a local authoritative magazine report in 2019, Tamkang’s SDGs promotion performance in Taiwan’s university campuses ranked first among private schools, and it was able to win even with limited resources, indicating that the university attaches great importance to SDGs. Due to space constraints, the university only cites specific cases to illustrate. In summary, the above SDG work of the university includes poverty eradication, health protection, and assistance to the elderly community, assisting disadvantaged young children in rural areas, disseminating educational resources, assisting the government in formulating water resources policies, engaging in energy and material technology research, and reducing domestic and foreign differences. To promote mutual assistance and harmony in the community, reduction of unnecessary consumptions and wastes, engage in environmental conservation and climate change research, promote international regional security and continue to advance towards the future of sustainable development through cooperation mechanisms. The personnel involved include the faculties and students of the various departments of the university, as well as the personnel of the administrative unit, which can be described as a whole university’s mobilization. In addition, Tamkang’s mid- and long-term development vision is "To create a great Tamsui and a smarter future," hoping to help local communities create new value and benefits while using artificial intelligence, cloud technology, data analysis, and other technologies to improve the quality of life and benefit the society. The university also implements sustainable development goals in a two-pronged manner by means of goal setting and detail creation and fulfills the university's social responsibilities.
