17.2.2) Cross sectoral dialogue about SDGs
Initiate and participate in cross-sectoral dialogue about the SDGs, e.g. conferences involving government or NGOs

    The dialogue between the university, government, non-governmental organizations, and the sustainable development goal activities include:
    1. The Graduate Institute of China Studies (cooperating with Northeast Asia Peace Organization to organize a peace education camp in Jinshan, discussing rainforest and sustainable development with Indonesian scholars at the SEASIA Conference), the Department of Information and Library Science (MOU signed with the University of Airlangga’s Institute of Social Sciences in Indonesia, many professors and students went to overseas relevant units in the United States, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Macau and other places for exchange and study).
    2. The Department of Mass Communication (information interview editing course visits regional NGO organizations with the theme of transportation environment for sophomore year).
    3. The Department of Physics (participated in the cross-domain sustainable development of the Ministry of Science and Technology, puts forward suggestions, held 11 workshops, with more than 100 outsiders participated).
    4. The Department of Civil Engineering (co-organize a deep foundation design tour lecture with ISSMGE TC212 and AGSSEA, assist TGS in handling the 16ARC meeting, and promote the exchange of Asian geotechnical engineering technology).
    5. The Department of Economics (cooperating with Cambodian NGOs to assist the local government in educating disadvantaged children).
    6. The Department of Spanish (cooperate with the embassy of the country of the Department of Spanish and the Taiwan office to handle cultural lectures and other art activities).
    7. The Department of Japanese (co-organized the International Conference on AI and Japanese Language Education with the Japanese Language Education Association, and co-organized the International Conference on Mobile in Literature of Murakami with Hokkaido University).
    8. The Graduate Institute of Future Studies (an institutional member of the World Future Studies Federation, an international NGO organization, assists in handling activities).
    9. The College of Global Development (handling practical workshops on international environmental education topics, and teachers serving as reviewers of international conference papers sponsored by the International Oral Communication Association).
    10. USR Tamsui Good Life Project (cooperate with Tamsui District Elementary School to implement the 2019 Ecological Sustainable Tamsui Declaration), The Center for General Education and Core Curriculum (organize related activities for the elders in the Tamsui area, such as co-organizing Tam-Song Symposium with SongNian University, the district chief, public opinion representatives, NGO consultation meetings, and post-epidemic elderly social forums), Student Associations (assisting the elementary schools in Tamsui with the course of art, music, morality and life education).
