There are three university social responsibility practice programs commissioned by the Ministry of Education in 2020, including international projects that help improve the quality of education in primary and secondary schools in the Tamsui area and the internationally disadvantaged education in rural areas, assisting the marketing of organic agricultural products in the Tamsui area and assisting in the promotion of the Tamran tourism industry. The University Social Responsibility Base (USR Hub) project subsidized by the Ministry of Education’s 2020 Higher Education Program includes the education and promotion of general chemical sciences, the documentary of Tamsui humanities and historical materials, the assistance of aboriginal communities, and the care of the seniors within the community. The SDG projects include SDG1, SDG3, SDG4, SDG8, SDG9, SDG10, SDG11, SDG12, and SDG17. Tamkang published the annual university social responsibility work report in 2019 and continues to publish the university social responsibility work annual report in 2020. To participate in 2021 THE University Impact Rankings, the university will publish the first series of work report on the sustainable development goals of Tamkang University by the end of October 2020. The report will be published on the university’s official website and the content will focus on the work of the SDGs promoted by the university in 2019. The projects are temporarily explained with SDG4, SDG6, SDG7, SDG8, SDG11, SDG12, and SDG17, etc., to faithfully reflect Tamkang’s promotion on the sustainable development goals, and influences made on the domestic and foreign society.
