Through international collaboration and research, review comparative approaches and develop international best practice on tackling the SDGs.

Tamkang University actively participates in international collaboration and resaerch to develop international best practice on tackling the SDGs.
◆The teachers and students from the Department of Information and Library Science set up a public digital collaboratively-editing online website, Tamsui Wiki, to introduce and record the culture and humanity in Tamsui. As of May 2024, there are a total of 2,299 pages and 5,448 photos. From September 2013 to December 2023, the accumulated total page reviews reached over 3.94 million. The total number of users is over 1.71 million, spread across 161 countries or regions worldwide. 淡水維基館
◆The teachers and students from the Department of Information and Library Science expanded the Malaysian Chinese Wiki, inviting Malaysian Chinese expatriates and students in Taiwan to collaborate in co-editing this digital platform. The project delves into Malaysian and Southeast Asian cultures, strengthens international connections, and shares Taiwan’s experiences on a global scale. By exploring Malaysian Chinese culture, the initiative also aims to cultivate talent with an understanding of Malaysia, serving as a starting point for further exploration of Southeast Asia, in alignment with the government’s New Southbound Policy. 淡江資圖系創建大馬華人維基館
◆The “Economics & Education” team from the Department of Economics continues assisting the Cambodian NGO ECC School in promoting local water resources and economic sustainability. On August 13, 2022, they held a local workshop in the PO Village, where ECC is located, to provide in-depth and easy-to-understand guidance to local residents on water safety concepts and water quality filtration methods. 淡江經探號2023海外服務紀錄片
