Tamkang University upholds the educational philosophy of "Globalization, Information-Orientd Education, Future-Oriented Education", which is also the foundation of the university's sustainable operation and development. Globalization—based on the concept that all humans share one Earth, we enhance mutual communication and understanding through language, text, and culture, creating a concept of a global life community and constructing a global perspective for Tamkang students. Information-Orientd Education—we construct the most comprehensive information network to assist in teaching, research, and learning, cultivating Tamkang students with humanistic care in the information age. Future-Oriented Education—with "interdisciplinary integration" and "future scenarios" as the main orientation, we construct the vision of Tamkang's future, recognizing, adapting to, and creating an ideal future. We cultivate outstanding talents through the practice of the "three circles and five educations". The "three circles" are "professional competence", "general education", and "extracurricular activities", and the "five educations" are "morality", "intelligence", "physique", "social skills", and "aesthetic" education. Combining the "three circles" and "five educations", we aim to cultivate Tamkang students into individuals with professional expertise and exceptional spirit, who can serve as the pillars of the nation. Our "professional competence courses" are designed by the departments, while the "general education courses" are promoted by the General Education and Core Curriculum Center, which has achieved significant results to date. The "extracurricular activities courses" promoted by the Student Affairs Office also help to foster team spirit. The "three circles and five educations" education cultivates students' ability to identify and solve problems, while also fostering the qualities most loved by the business world from daily life. Therefore, those who complete a bachelor's degree at Tamkang University are qualified and able to teach in elementary schools in Taiwan.
