In 2023, Tamkang University continuously initiated and participated in cross-sectoral dialogue about SDGs, including:
I.Promoting domestic dialogue and advancing sustainable development
◆Collaborated with multiple universities in New Taipei City and Taipei City to host the “Cross-Campus Sustainability Exhibition on the Northern Coast” to jointly address issues related to the northern coast agricultural belt.
◆Collaborated with Tamsui Community University on the Livable City project, focusing on the quality of living environment, new immigrant issues, and future envision of urban development.
◆In collaboration with the Agriculture Bureau of the New Taipei City Government and 5% DESIGN Planning Company to implement the “New Taipei Good Farm UP” initiative for young farmers’ revitalization. The project, titled “Constructing a Regenerative Platform Ecosystem – Local Branding and Leisure Agriculture MarTech,” aims to promote a lifestyle that integrates urban and agricultural areas with the smallest carbon footprint.
II. Initiating international dialogue to promote sustainable development
◆Collaborated with ECC school in Cambodia to co-organize a cross-nation, cross-institution international linkage symposium, engaging in discussions and dialogue with various schools on sustainable development goals under the international linkage development model.
◆Involved in collaborative talks with the Surindra Rajabhat University in Thailand to establish a partnership for jointly promoting sustainable development goals under the international linkage development model.
◆Conducted collaborative talks with the IIC University of Technology in Cambodia and signed an MOU to become partner schools, establishing a partnership to jointly promote sustainable development goals under the international linkage development model.
淡江大學與柬埔寨IIC大學簽訂姊妹校◆Organized the “Practice of SDGs in Foreign Language Teaching” symposium, with a focus on “Exploring Sustainable Curriculum Planning and Teaching Experiences in the Russian Department”. The event included sharing Russia’s efforts and achievements in promoting SDGs with faculty, students from our university and scholars participating remotely from Japan.
人文思惟導入永續 外語教師展現全球視野◆Organized the “4th International Academic Conference on Japan and Global Political and Economic Changes and Impact in the Post-Pandemic Era.” The primary research focus was the political and economic changes and their impact in Japan and globally. Participating scholars came from Taiwan, Japan, mainland China, and Malaysia, with approximately 83 participants, and the conference included 24 papers.
