11.4.1) Sustainable practices targets
Measure and set targets for more sustainable commuting (walking, cycling or other non-motorized transport, vanpools, carpools, shuttlebus or public transportation, motorcycle, scooter or moped, or electric vehicles)
1. The commuting method for faculties and students on the Tamsui campus of the university is mainly by express bus and the bus directly reaches the campus. The Red 27 and Red 28 bus routes are used as the shuttle bus between the Tamsui MRT station and the campus, which takes an average of 3-5 minutes in between every shuttle thus meeting up to the commuting needs of faculty, staff and students; and there are direct buses to downtown Taipei and Tamsui, providing convenience for students and faculties to enter and exit the campus to various urban areas. Around the MRT, one may also choose Ubike bicycles and hiking (approximately 10 minutes) to reach the campus, reducing energy consumption, air pollution, and increasing mobility.
2. The Taipei campus is located in the center of Taipei, close to the Taipei MRT DongMen Station, with multiple MRT and bus routes extending in all directions.
