The main library on the Tamsui Campus is nine stories high, covering an area of over 7,000 Taiwanese ping. It offers 2,790 reading seats, including areas for information retrieval, shared learning, and discussion spaces. The semi-open newspaper reading area provides domestic and international newspapers in Chinese and Western languages, with bright natural light by windows, creating a comfortable and relaxed reading environment. Accessibility features include ramp designs at the entrance, elevators, braille signage, guide tiles, accessible restrooms, and support handrails. There is also a barrier-free resource room and priority seating on each floor, with customized resource usage workshops available to help users access library resources.
Tamkang University Chueh Sheng Memorial Library The library houses the European Union Information Center (Eui), which offers official EU publications, books, and journals on topics related to Europe and the European Union. It also publishes an e-newsletter (available for free subscription) and is open to the public for consultation and use
淡江歐盟資訊中心(Eui)The library allows the public to enter by registering with a personal ID card or driver’s license and obtaining a “mobile barcode” for entry. The library hosts numerous themed book exhibitions and lectures each year to promote a culture of reading and a book-loving society open to the public. Additionally, the library periodically organizes events to donate decommissioned books and periodicals, allowing people to collect them for free.
