8.2.1) Employment practice living wage
Pay all staff and faculty at least the living wage, defined as the local living wage (if government defines this) or the local financial poverty indicator for a family of four (expressed as an hourly wage)

    Tamkang formulates labor conditions in accordance with government labor-related laws and regulations and has reasonable salary regulations for faculties and staffs. The monthly salary of faculties and staffs are higher than the minimum monthly basic salary set by the Ministry of Labor, and according to the salary comparison of the salary platform of the Directorate-General of Budget from the Accounting and Statistics Department of the Executive Yuan, the annual salary income of the staff of the university is compared with the salary income of the employees nationwide, and the range falls within the top 50% of the country. At the same time, the university regularly issues monthly salaries on the 25th of each month, so that faculties and staffs may be relieved financially; and taking relevance of the principles of military and public education year-end bonuses, year-end bonuses are issued accordingly.
