7.4.2) 100% renewable energy pledge
Promote a pledge toward 100% renewable energy

The university promotes the realization of the promise of 100% renewable energy through cooperation projects, research projects, and activities. The relevant actions are as follow:
1. Cooperation: The university actively cooperates with solar photovoltaic panel companies to study the feasibility of campus planning and the installation of solar power systems.
2. Research Plan: In the 2019 academic year, the Ministry of Education's teaching practice research plan invited the Secretary-General of the Taiwan Geothermal Resources Development Association to conduct a lecture on geothermal and future energy. Students were taught the importance of environmental protection and classification through deep cultivation of forestation and local international projects by visiting various elementary schools in Yilan, YuTian, SanMin, and LongTan with the theme of environmental protection and DIY productions and games.
3. Relative Activities: All colleges and departments placed recycling bins for paper and toner cartridge within offices and conference rooms to implement recycling.
