12.2.1) Ethical sourcing policy
Have a policy on ethical sourcing of food and supplies

    1. The university signed a contract with a catering manufacturer and the content of the contract requires the manufacturer to supply various foods and ingredients in compliance with the relevant regulations of the "Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation", "School Health Act", and "Agricultural Production and Certification Act". The manufacturer must select qualified foods and ingredients and shall not use incomplete packaging and unqualified foods from miscellaneous brands. The use of local high-quality agricultural products under the traceability system promoted by the central agricultural authority shall be prioritized. The use of genetically modified fresh ingredients and their primary processing is strictly prohibited.
    2. In terms of green procurement, the university's Tamsui campus purchase of green products with environmental protection labels was as high as $14,384,940 NTD in 2019. Tamkang was also awarded the "Green Procurement Outstanding Unit Award" by the Department of Environmental Protection New Taipei City Government for 5 consecutive years. The Lanyang campus purchases green products with environmental protection labels was $1,009,140 NTD.
