The university organizes activities open to the public to achieve the goal of lifelong learning. According to the types of activities are described as follow:
1. Tamkang Clement & Carrie Chair: In 2019, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Engineering, the College of Business and Administration, the College of Foreign Languages & Literatures, and the College of International Affairs invited lecturers to conduct speeches that are open to the public to participate.
2. Workshops: The Office of Continuing Education offers specialized courses for secondary teachers and provides on-job training programs for educational practitioners to improve teaching skills. In 2019, the Department of Information and Library Science offers MOS Access 2016, MOS Excel 2016, Expert MOS Word 2016, MOS PowerPoint 2016, MOS Access 2016 training and examination to visitors to participate. Since the 2013 academic year, the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering has offered “Project Management” course to guide students to participate in the PMA certification exam and the SPAA certified exam held by the National Project Management Association and arranged the National Project Management Association certified center for visitors to register for the certification exams.
3. Seminars: The Department of Risk Management and Insurance held "Taiwan Risk and Insurance Association" and the Department of Economics hosted two “Lecture on Block-chain Technology and Applications” in November of 2019. The Department of English hosted the “The 2019 Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Medical Humanities in the Age of the Anthropocene ” in June of 2019 and the College of International Affairs held two lectures conducted by instructors. Various departments and institutes offered 116 lecture courses for the purpose of hosting the non-profit organization Hao-Shi Social Enterprise in the 2019 academic year with the “Children’s Formosa” board game course, available for visitors to participate.
